In turn, Uratex has also decided to match the donation for a total of P100,000. Shown in the photo from left are: Mr. Tito Aliga, UP Engineering Research and Development Foundation, Inc. (UPERDFI) Executive Director, Mrs. Naty Cheng, Uratex CEO, Mr. Jesse Linsangan, BASF Business Manager, Dr. Eric Augustus Tingatinga, Associate Dean for Institutional Linkages, and Peachy Medina, Uratex Managing Director. The UP COE intends to use the fund to award Thesis Support Grants (TSGs) to ten (10) less-resourced graduating students to help carry out their final research projects this AY 2018-19.  Example of thesis-related costs are fabrication of prototypes, validation tests by independent laboratories and conducting of field surveys. Uratex currently supports five (5) scholars with stipends and book allowances, and three (3) professorial chairs in the UP COE.
