ROBERTS AIPMC ONCE AGAIN TIES PRODUCTION OF AUTO PARTS FOR NEW TOYOTA AND MITSUBISHI CAR MODELS

It’s a triple celebration for Roberts Automotive and Industrial Parts Manufacturing Corporation (Roberts AIPMC)! Aside from celebrating its 25th anniversary in the industry this year, Roberts AIPMC has once again been chosen to be one of the suppliers for the local production of the new Toyota Vios and the Mitsubishi L300 models in the Philippines. Roberts AIPMC, founded in 1993 as part of the RGC Group of Companies, has proven its dependability in the automotive industry over the years. It is now recognized as the most trusted supplier and partner by Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) companies. It also prides itself on being consistently chosen by Japanese automakers operating in the Philippines to produce world-class, high-quality, and efficient automotive parts. “We continuously meet the requirements of car assemblers as far as quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) is concerned. QCD requirements of Car Assemblers continue to increase every year and we take it as a challenge to keep on improving because we need to be at par with global suppliers’ capabilities,” said Mr. Edilberto Gallor, Roberts AIPMC and RGC Group of Companies Executive Vice President.

The growing auto parts and components industry in the Philippines is expected to be a significant player in the local, regional, and world markets by 2020. With the help of the government’s Comprehensive Automotive Resurgence Strategy (CARS) Program—which provides policy directions to existing motor vehicle development programs—Roberts AIPMC is hopeful that they will go above and beyond in terms of attracting new strategic investments, creating demand, and bringing innovation, technology transfer, environmental protection, and SME development. Back-to-Back Achievements The best-selling Toyota Vios subcompact sedan that made a name in the global market will start its production and is expected to bring a total of P1.3 billion for the local car producers in the country. With this ramp up, Toyota Motor Philippines Corp. (TMP) has chosen and registered three auto parts makers and a manufacturing services provider in the country, and Roberts AIPMC has been included in the approved list of 26 local direct suppliers for the new Toyota Vios.   Meanwhile, Mitsubishi has been gearing up for the launch of a new L300 model featuring a Euro 4 engine, an environment standard-compliant machine. The new model is expected to be launched in 2019 and Roberts AIPMC has been granted the opportunity to supply its auto parts.  It can be recalled that the company has maintained a good partnership history with Mitsubishi Motors Corporation - Japan (MMC) and Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) during the production of the Mitsubishi Mirage model in the country, which started being locally produced in January 2018. Aside from this, RGC Group of Companies, in which Roberts AIPMC is part of, has also proven its dependability as an automotive component supplier through a long-time partnership with MMC for more than 40 years now. History of quality and proven reliability Roberts AIPMC’s history of quality and proven reliability began when Uratex started supplying automotive foam in 1975. Since then, the company has invested in world class machineries to provide innovative and high-quality solutions to automotive manufacturers. “With the confidence and opportunities that Car Manufacturers are giving Roberts AIPMC, we plan to further expand our products and service offerings to car assemblers and continue to be globally competitive with primary focus on QCD, technology, and innovation,” said Gallor. Indeed, the achievements of Roberts AIPMC is yet another reason to celebrate Uratex’s 50th anniversary this 2018.
